When you ask Sharon Cash how she feels about Memphis, her answer is swift and sure. “I love Memphis,” she says. “It’s my hometown, I was born and raised here, educated here and I’m employed here. Memphis is a great city, and it has the potential to be an amazing city,” she says with certainty.

The Shalom study groups have gathered a significant amount of data about our city. As we analyze this information, we are gaining a better understanding of how each neighborhood is affected by this city’s challenges. Greetings from Shalom Project Manager

I am truly excited about this ground-breaking year for the Shalom Project!

While we acknowledge the challenges Memphis is facing, we share a common hope for a better future. The Shalom Project is an attempt to rebuild our city through thorough study; an understanding of the facts; identification of what works; and strategies for how the church will play a vital role in the foundation for change.
